The Uninvited Guest SKIT Version is a retell of Sarah Shannon’s Children’s Story “The Uninvited Guest” that keeps the same story line but allows students to act out the roles of the characters for a Christmas program at a school, church, or community event. Sarah Shannon suggests taking a moment to add a “dance” scene for the students to perform to make it more fun, such as a Nutcracker Suite song or other chosen Christmas song and/or extending the skit by adding a choir, song scene, or other game or part activity prior to the interruption by this “uninvited” homeless man and his daughter. The story AND the skit is a great tale of the importance of showing compassion for the less fortunate from time to time, and this lesson will be loved by people of all ages!
